Eagle Lawn & Landscape Inc.'s Fertilizer and Weed Control Program Includes:

Application 1
We apply a balanced liquid/granular fertilizer with pre-emergent crabgrass, foxtail, and post-emergent broadleaf weed control for weeds such as dandelions and others. This application helps the recovery process from the winter months and promotes early spring green-up. (We recommend power-raking your lawn in the spring to remove excess thatch and stimulate early growth)

Application 2
We apply a slow-release liquid/granular fertilizer with post-emergent broadleaf weed control and optional grub control. This application will increase color and density while promoting optimum growth. The optional grub control, applied as needed, will prevent lawn damage from grubs.

Application 3
During the mid-summer months, we apply a slow-release granular fertilizer with post-emergent spot spraying for broadleaf weeds. This application helps your lawn through the warm and dry days of summer.

Application 4
Toward the end of summer, we apply a balanced liquid/granular fertilizer with post-emergent spot spraying for broadleaf weeds. This application will help your lawn to maintain its growth and color throughout the fall season while controlling broadleaf weeds at their most susceptible time of year. (We recommend a lawn aeration performed once a year to help moisture and the needed nutrients in getting to your lawns roots and promote growth)

Application 5
In late fall, we apply a balanced granular fertilizer to promote root growth and food storage to get your lawn through the winter months and promote early spring green-up.

Professional Lawn Care for the Sioux Falls Area

Eagle Lawn & Landscape Inc. believes in providing professional residential and commercial lawn care services for the Sioux Falls area. These services include our comprehensive five-step fertilizer and weed control program, mowing, lawn raking, power raking, and aeration.

Fertilizer
For lawns to flourish, their soil needs to receive enough of the right nutrients. Fertilizers, which contain these nutrients, help meet this need while also reducing the chances of weed growth. The Eagle Lawn & Landscape Inc. team uses the perfect blend of liquid and granular fertilizer for this purpose.

Mowing
We offer professionally done mowing services set on a weekly schedule to ensure your property’s well-maintained look and promote a healthy lawn. Our mowing heights vary from 2 ½ to 3 ½ inches, depending on the time of the year and weather conditions. Grass clippings are collected, and we will trim your property around trees, landscaping, and structures. Our regular mowing season begins in April and ends in late October.

Lawn Rake
Our Lawn Rake process removes a limited amount of thatch and promotes early spring growth and green-up. It is included in our spring cleanup package and performed in the spring on larger properties by non-mechanical steel tines mounted on a commercial mower.

Power Raking
Power raking helps to increase water and fertilization absorption into the soil while decreasing disease development. This service is performed in the spring by mechanical steel blades that remove a moderate amount of thatch. It is then followed by the mowing of all grass clippings that are bagged and removed from the property.

Aeration
Aeration is the process of removing small plugs of soil and redistributing them across your lawn. It will allow the much-needed air, sunlight, water, and other essential nutrients to permeate your grass’s roots, giving them what they need to grow healthy and strong. It decreases disease development and promotes turfgrass rooting and breakdown of thatch. We recommend having aeration performed once a year on irrigated and compacted turf.
